Saturday Programs

To apply for a Young Actors at Strasberg’s Saturday Session, please call 212-533-5500 or email [email protected] and inquire with Amanda Callahan, the Director of Young Actors at Strasberg, regarding application and registration details.

• There is a waiting list for our Saturday Sessions so inquire regarding availability before applying.
• All applicants must submit an application; a non-refundable application fee of $50.00; and a photo (snapshot; wallet; head-shot all accepted) of the prospective student.
• Applicants 12 + years old must submit an essay of no less than 150 words (answering the question: “Why do you want to study acting at The Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute?”) and a letter of recommendation from an individual who knows the student from a position of authority or leadership (no family please) in any discipline: academic; artistic; athletic; etc.

Upon receipt of your completed application you will be contacted to schedule a personal interview at the school by email or by telephone (if you live outside the USA or the NYC tri-state area).

Summer Programs

To apply for Young Actors at Strasberg’s Summer courses you must submit a complete application by postal mail along with all supplementary materials (see application).

• Application
• Non-refundable Application Fee $50.00
• Photo (snapshot; wallet; head-shot all accepted)
• 2 Letters of Recommendation (from an individual who knows the student from a position of authority or leadership (no family please) in any discipline: academic; artistic; athletic; etc.)

Students 12+ years of age

• Essay of 150 words (answering the question: “Why do you want to study acting at The Lee Strasberg Institute?”)
• Verification of Previous Studies: Transcript or Grade Report from the applicant’s middle school or high school academic progress (or the equivalent of these educational institutions in your country of residence)
